The Institute of Ocean Research, Peking University (PKU) is a new institute established in 2013, which is the solely independent, college-level scientific research institute of PKU. Our principal missions are to construct marine science discipline at PKU, conduct world first-class and comprehensive marine research, and coordinate external collaborations in ocean industry and other related fields. Here we cordially invite domestic and foreign talents in oceanography disciplines including law, environment, climate, new energy, medicine, biology, engineering equipment, and other related research fields to apply several tenure-track positions. The positions will remain open until filled in.
All positions are research-oriented, tenure-track positions at the assistant or associate professor levels under the “One Thousand Scientists Program” of the Chinese government and “Excellent Young Scientists Program” of Peking University. Candidates already in tenure-track positions in other universities are also strongly encouraged to apply. For exceptional cases, a more senior starting position may be considered.
