1.Postdoctoral Fellow

We are looking to appoint a Postdoctoral Fellow (Academic Level A) in observational/computational seismology in the Seismology and Mathematical Geophysics research group within the Research School of Earth Sciences (RSES) at the Australian National University (ANU). The applicants should have a PhD in Seismology and strong analytical and computational skills with a background in geophysics, physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related fields. Successful applicant will be joining a group of seismologists with interests in various aspects of global and regional seismology (both observational and theoretical) and mathematical geophysics, studying both Earth’s structure and seismic sources. There is some flexibility in the start date, but the candidate would need to commence their position sometime between August 2018 and February 2019.

2.Faculty Openings in Geosciences at Universidad de Los Andes

Universidad de los Andes seeks applications for four full-time faculty positions in the Department of Geosciences. It is the 5th highest ranked University in Latin America by the Times Higher Education Rankings 2017, with a student body of 15,000 undergraduate students and 4,000 graduate students. The Geosciences Department currently consists of eleven full-time research and teaching faculty.

3.Postdoctoral Research Associate

We seek a highly motivated, dedicated Postdoctoral Research Associate to take a leadership role and conduct innovative research for the Center for Advanced Bioenergy and Bioproducts Innovation (CABBI) at Iowa State University in Ames, IA.

The postdoc will work with Agronomy associate professor Emily Heaton and Agronomy assistant professor Andy VanLoocke as part of a broader team of soil scientists, ecologists, physiologists, ecosystem modelers, and engineers in the CABBI Sustainability Theme. 6.PhD assistantship in Hydrology/Geophysics

University of Wyoming – PhD assistantships in Hydrology/Geophysics. Two three-year PhD assistantships in Hydrology/Geophysics are available at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. The students will combine hydrological and geophysical field observations with numerical modeling to study snowmelt-driven streamflow generation at the hillslope and small-watershed scales as part of a NSF-funded project titled “Subsurface structure and flow regime for Rocky Mountain hillslopes with different geologies”.
