Two Positions at Montana State University:  1) Assistant Professor in Igneous or Metamorphic Processes and 2) Assistant Professor in Sedimentology/Stratigraphy.

The Department of Earth Sciences at Montana State University (http://www.montana.edu/earthsciences/) invites applications for two Assistant Professor positions:

1) Assistant Professor in Igneous or Metamorphic Processes. We seek an active teacher and researcher in the one of the areas of igneous or metamorphic petrology with a strength in field-based petrologic research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach lower division Earth System Science, undergraduate Earth Materials, Mineralogy, and Igneous or Metamorphic Petrology, and upper-division/graduate courses in their specialty area and contribute to doctoral training.

2) Assistant Professor in Sedimentology/Stratigraphy. We seek an active teacher and researcher in the broad are of sedimentology who can contribute to our geoscience program inareas of sedimentary systems, basin analysis, or tectonostratigraphy. The successful candidate will be expected to teach lower division Earth System Science, undergraduate Sedimentology/Stratigraphy, and upper-division/graduate courses in their speciality area and contribute to doctoral training.

2. Ph.D Student - Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences

We are accepting applications for a Ph.D. student in the field of Paleoclimate within the Brown University Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences.

The doctoral candidate will work with Professors Steve Clemens and Yongsong Huang on an NSF funded project designed to reconstruct and understand mechanisms driving changes in late Pleistocene Indian Monsoon circulation using a combination of sediments recovered during Bay of Bengal IODP Expedition 353 and numerical modeling.

3. Assistant Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences

5. Full Time Tenure Stream - Assistant Professor

The Department of Chemistry, in the Faculty of Science at York University, invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment at the Assistant Professor level in the areas of Physical and/or Analytical Chemistry, to commence July 1, 2017. 6. 2017 Exploration Fellowship in Earth and Space Science
