Research Interests

Our research is mainly focused on marine benthic organisms including corals and sponges of South China Sea. Base on in-depth biodiversity and chemical diversity investigation, we are engaging in the discovery of characteristic metabolites with novel structures and interesting activities. Our aim is to obtain lead compounds applied in medicinal research especially on aspects of anti-tumor, antibacteria and anti-virus.

Grants and fundings

National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC),“Discovery of anti-biofilm functional molecules base on the antifouling ecological features of marine natural products” (2017-2020, RMB 650,000) , Principal Investigator

Beijing Natural Science Foundation of China,“Studies on characteristic imidazole alkaloids derived from marine sponge Leucetta chagosensis and their anti-tumor activities” (2017-2019, RMB 200,000), Principal Investigator
